Billy Gilmour is, arguably, one of Chelsea’s most exciting prospects to come through the club’s academy in recent years.

Of course, the Blues have seen a fluffy of youth talent make it into the first team for the first time in ages under Frank Lampard and now Thomas Tuchel. The likes of Reece James, Andreas Christensen, Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi are some of the biggest examples, whilst Ruben Loftus-Cheek has also been given a fair crack of the whip when he has not been loaned out.

Gilmour made an incredible impression when he first played for Chelsea, with his debut against Liverpool having wowed many that watched the match – Chelsea fans, pundits, media personnel and most football fans around the world.

However, with the options that Chelsea have in the midfield department, it has understandably been hard for the Scotsman to get a true run of games, whilst an injury did not help him out, either.

Players such as N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic are all vying for the spots in the middle depending on the system that Tuchel looks to use, thus leaving individuals such as the teenager a little frustrated with the lack of playing time that they are receiving, especially at such a crucial stage of their career. Those using Big Free Bet would not as frustrated as him, though, as they will be able to get the best bonuses possible when looking to bet on competitions such as the 2020 European Championships!

However, the German manager’s arrival at Stamford Bridge has caused Gilmour a bigger headache, as he has played in just two-and-a-half matches since he took charge.

That has lead to reports by The Sun claiming that the Scotland international – who has been called up to the 2020 European Championships – is now keen to secure a move away from SW6, albeit temporarily on loan.

The report does not suggest which clubs would be interested in signing the 19-year-old UEFA Champions League winner, however it would not be a surprise if a number of top-level sides did look to try and bring him in.

Again, a lot of that will depend on what he is able to do at the upcoming championships with Scotland if given the chance, whilst it will also depend on what clubs are looking for.

However, if Chelsea and Tuchel green-light the idea and are happy for him to develop further elsewhere for a little bit, then the list of clubs Gilmour could have to choose from could be one that is rather lengthy!
