Chelsea’s Kai Havertz scored the only goal of the game and handed his side a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United in the English Premier League. The Blues won their fifth consecutive match in the league and ended the nine-match unbeaten run of their visitors.

Thomas Tuchel was without his first and second-choice full-backs. Malang Sarr started on the left, and Hakim Ziyech started on the right side. Timo Werner accompanied fellow German, Kai Havertz, in the attack.

Kai Havertz attempted the most shots in the match and created the highest xG rate. His teammate, N’Golo Kante, attempted seven passes into the opposition’s final third and was the highest dribbler of the ball for his side. Chris Wood showed some aerial dominance and won the highest number of aerial duels.
Chelsea attempted eight shots, and three of them were on target. Of these eight shots, five were attempted from inside the opposition’s penalty box.
