Premier League Stats: Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur

Thomas Tuchel brought some changes to the Blues’ formation. Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz started as the two strikers, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek played as the right wing-back. Marc Cucurella also earned his first start in a Chelsea shirt. The manager changed the formation in the last few minutes of the match by using his wing-backs as full-backs.

Spurs started the match in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with Harry Kane leading the line. Antonio Conte brought Richarlison on to accompany Kane in the attack after their struggles to create chances. Spurs ended the match in a 4-4-2 formation.

Chelsea dominated the possession and ended the match with 61.62% ball possession. They had more possession of the ball in the first half. Chelsea started to lose the ball during the last 30 minutes of the match, and that was the period when they conceded two goals.

Tottenham Hotspur had 38.38% ball possession with some dominance in the second half.

Chelsea players were attacking the whole time, and they created 48 positional attacks. They attempted 13 shots from these attacks, with most of the attacks coming from the right side.

The Spurs were involved in 14 positional attacks and were only successful twice in attempting a shot. Most of their attempts came from the right side.
