Everton started in a five-at-the-back formation, with Fabian Delph coming back into the side. Richarlison once again led the lineup ahead of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Chelsea played in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with Timo Werner leading the attack alongside Mason Mount and fellow German international Kai Havertz. Ruben Loftus-Cheek played in the heart of the midfield alongside Jorginho.

Reece James and Antonio Rüdiger attempted three shots each for the visiting team. Ruben Loftus-Cheek had a good game in the midfield as he was the player who made the most recoveries inside the opposition’s half and won the most aerial duels. Anthony Gordon attempted three shots for Everton and was the best dribbler of the ball.

Once again, Chelsea won most of the loose ball duels in the defensive third. Reece James contested the highest number of duels and failed to win most of his duels.

Everton players won two corners in the match, both from the left side. They even won four free-kicks inside the opposition’s half, and all the free-kicks were attempted in the form of a cross inside the opposition’s penalty box.

Chelsea won eight corners and one of them was a short corner. The Blues also won four free-kicks inside the opposition’s half.

Chelsea were unable to create enough threats, and this resulted in their defeat. The Blues have dropped points in the recent games and will look to return back to form in the remaining games. Everton, on the other hand, took massive three points from this game and are edging closer to safety.
