Chelsea suffered their second loss of the season after West Ham United came back twice to secure a 3-2 victory in the English Premier League. The Blues have dropped down to the third position in the league table, and this is the first match in which Chelsea conceded more than one goal.

David Moyes changed the team formation to a back three for this match. Manuel Lanzini and Issa Diop replaced Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals in the starting XI.

Arthur Masuaku won three defensive duels for the home team. West Ham United won most of their duels towards the left side.
Kurt Zouma and Tomáš Souček won four aerial duels each for the Hammers. The team won 11 aerial duels in the middle third.
The Hammers won nine loose ball duels in the middle third and Craig Dawson won the most number of duels for his side.
Chelsea players won most of their defensive duels towards the right side. Andreas Christensen won three, lost four, and his five duels ended in a neutral result.
Thiago Silva scored from a header and won five of the seven aerial duels contested. Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Lukaku won two aerial duels each.

West Ham United gave an impressive performance and handed Chelsea their second defeat of the season. Chelsea created few chances in the second half but eventually suffered a defeat.
