UEFA Champions League 2021/22 Stats: Real Madrid vs Chelsea

Carlos Ancelotti’s team started in the same formation as they did in the first leg. The manager was forced to make one change as Eder Militao was suspended for this game and was replaced by Nacho.

The average position of the starting 11 shows that the home team played with a midfield four instead of a midfield three. Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior played as the front two.

Timo Werner’s excellent form in the league earned him another chance as the Blues started this match in a 3-4-3 formation. Reece James started as the right centre-back, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek operating as the right wing-back.
