The Blues won ten corners and six from the left side. Chelsea players won ten free-kicks inside the opposition half, and four were attempted as crosses into the opposition penalty box.
Chelsea were the more attacking side but Real Madrid scored two crucial goals in the end to earn a place in the last four of the competition.
